Never bothered to try LiveJournal or TypePad.
I blog on these platforms, either via email or through SribeFire, apart from the web interface. WordPress sidebar was another addon which i have used in the past. Blogger.com offers the email option which is not offered on WordPress.com but is available on the hosted version.
