I feel this movie has somehow inspired and/or influenced American History X, Remember the Titans, Crash, etc. However, the movie doesn’t address racial issues directly. In fact it is very subtle about it and simply goes along with the portrayal of the lives of 2 kids and their father. The innocence of kids and the virtuosness of the father are the highlights of the movie.
Its a book. If you haven’t read it, you must. Its lovely. And it was written way before American history X saw light…

I know this one came way before American History X… and i have mentioned that THIS MOVIE INSPIRED American History X and not the other way round.
I guess i need to be more clear in my writing…
